Shopping Korean Skincare: A Checklist Before You Order
K-beauty · Updated · 3 min read · K-ShipBox
Two skincare listings can look almost identical while containing different sizes, refills or extras. Before you send a Korean beauty product link, take a moment to identify exactly what you want. This is a shopping checklist for the order itself, rather than advice on which product suits your skin.
Start with the exact retailer listing
Save the product URL from the retailer you intend to use. Olive Young, Daiso and individual brand stores may carry different bundles or editions. A product shown on a store’s global site may also differ from its Korean domestic listing.
Check whether the retailer already offers a suitable direct-shopping option for your destination. Buying Proxy is useful when you need help with a particular Korean listing; it is not necessary for every beauty purchase. Share a screenshot if the option names are difficult to distinguish.
Read the bundle as a list of contents
Check the amount in each bottle or pack, the number of units and whether a listed component is a refill. A two-piece set does not always mean two full-size products. A promotional image can show accessories or gifts that have separate conditions.
For a cushion, tint or other shade-dependent item, include the shade name and number. For a collaboration, specify whether the character packaging or accessory is essential to your purchase. Do not assume that a standard listing includes the limited-edition version.
Separate discounts from confirmed prices
A screenshot may show a member coupon, app-only promotion, minimum-spend offer or an older sale price. Send the link with the price you saw, but use the confirmed quotation to decide whether to buy.
If a gift or collaboration extra is the reason for ordering, ask us to check it before purchase. Gifts and stock can change, and submitting a request does not reserve them. Tell us whether you would accept the main product without the extra.
Think about the shipment before adding more
A haul of small bottles can become heavier once liquids and protective packaging are included. Ask about shipping eligibility before buying unusual formats such as sprays or products containing alcohol. The available route depends on the contents and destination.
Keep sealed packaging or retail boxes if they matter to you, and communicate that preference before consolidation. Review any available expiry information on the retailer listing. An arrival photo or visual inspection cannot establish every aspect of a product’s formulation or suitability.
