Buying Korean Fashion Online: Sizes, Options and Delivery
Fashion · Updated · 3 min read · K-ShipBox
A good clothing order starts with measurements and exact options, not a guessed size conversion. This guide helps you turn a Korean fashion listing into a clear purchase request, whether you need Buying Proxy or plan to check out yourself and use your Korean receiving address.
Check your direct-shopping options first
Some Korean retailers have a separate global storefront. Its destination choices, catalog and promotions can differ from the Korean store. Compare the exact item and full delivered cost before deciding whether you need a proxy.
If you are requesting a Korean domestic listing, send that URL rather than a similar global product. Do not assume that every seller accepts forwarding addresses or every account can use the same payment methods. Ask us to review a listing if the checkout requirements are unclear.
Use measurements instead of a universal size chart
Look for the seller’s size table and check whether it describes the garment or the wearer’s body. Compare like with like: a shirt laid flat should be compared with a shirt measured the same way. Length, shoulder, chest, waist and inseam can each affect the fit.
Do not rely on an automatic Korean-to-US or Korean-to-European size conversion. Fit varies between brands, garments and cuts. Review the fabric details and the seller’s measurement notes, and ask about any missing dimensions before purchase. K-ShipBox cannot guarantee fit from a size label.
Preserve the original option names
Colour names can be similar, and a listing may contain several styles. Include the option as written, plus a screenshot if needed. A useful request is specific about product, colour, size and quantity rather than asking for the one in the main photo.
State whether you allow substitutions. If the requested size is unavailable, an alternative should be confirmed rather than guessed. A back-order or made-to-order label can also change the dispatch schedule, so check the seller’s current notice.
Decide what packaging to keep
Tell us if tags, branded boxes, hangers or original packaging are important. Shoes and structured accessories can need more protection than a folded garment. Removing packaging can change how an item is protected and may affect return options.
Combining clothing orders can be convenient, but bulky jackets or shoe boxes can still produce a large shipment. Compare the final packed weight and dimensions. Do not assume consolidation or a lighter garment automatically means a lower carrier charge.
